Daniel was born on June 10th, 1997 at Parkview
Community Hospital in Riverside, CA. Ever since he was
born, Daniel was cherished. He was the only grandson born in
a long line of granddaughters. Daniel celebrated his first
birthday in China with a party of over 60 relatives. As a toddler
Daniel didn't talk very much, he liked to use his own version
of sign language to express himself. But once Daniel learned
to talk, and was comfortable with talking it was hard to get him
to be quiet.
I always wanted a younger sibling, so now that there
was Daniel I was eager to help with bottle feeding, diaper
changing, and reading to him. In 2002, Daniel started
Kindergarten at Montevideo Elementary. At school he learned
how to read, and after reading Harry Potter, his curiosity was
ignited and it was hard to find him without a book in his hand.
Daniel also loved to play games whether it was Yugioh
and Pokemon cards, monopoly or DDR. If you didn't want to
play the game, he would teach you, or let you win a few times
just so you would play with him. We would play Dragon Ball Z
on PS2 and Daniel would always let me win a couple times
just so I would think I was doing well in the game, and then
he'd beat me.
Daniel always had a very laidback attitude about life
and didn‘t sweat the small stuff, but was able to learn many
things effortlessly. He was a very vibrant, intelligent, and
energetic brother. I'm going to miss his smile with his multiple
dimples a lot. -Sister
